Robert Wickens has started his weekend at Circuit de Catalunya well on the pace. The Canadian driver topped the time sheets on Thursday afternoon at the Spanish track. He finished ahead of Formula Two champion Andy Soucek and Nicola de Marco.

The final Formula Two Grand Prix weekend of the season sees Tristan Vautier replace absent Edoardo Piscopo. The spectators in Spain will also have to miss Carlos Iaconelli who is absent all weekend due to illness.

The session was just two minutes under way when Natacha Gachnang flew off. She was doing fine fortunately but it caused a 15 minutes delay in the session due to red flags.

Robert Wickens topped time time sheets for most of the session being chased closely by champion Andy Soucek. The Spaniard will be keen to end his championship year on a high.
