Hohenthal satisfied with strong start

Sebastian Hohenthal was pleased to have drawn first blood by being the quickest in free practice at Donington Park on Friday morning. The Swede led the way and is therefore this weekend's form driver heading into qualifying later this afternoon.

"Finally I am in the top spot!" said Sebastian after a session which saw the top fourteen drivers be separated by only half a second. "It is only in practice, but still, it's good to be fastest and it just shows I can be quick when I know the circuit.

"I don't have specific hopes so I'm just going to take it lap by lap and session by session. It's good for my self-esteem, to be quick, especially as I was on a used set of tyres; I have struggled in the past to get grip with new tyres, though, so we'll just see how qualifying and the weekend pan out."
