Spaniard Soucek extended his lead in the standings after taking his second race win of the season at Brands Hatch, and the 24-year-old is delighted with the professionalism of F2: "Thank you to all the team and everyone involved in Formula Two," said Soucek. "I think they are doing a great job. Of course, the last race was difficult for everybody but I think they have all done amazing - the mechanics, engineers, administration team and all of the organisers."
Soucek had previously complimented the talented drivers in the F2 field, and Wickens is in agreement: "People have asked me and some of the other guys to compare F2 with the likes of World Series by Renault, and I agree with Andy. The level of the drivers in F2 has been impressive. There are the obvious candidates up front but there have also been some surprises as well - it is still really tough to win races."
When talking about the overall package of F2, the Red Bull-backed Canadian said: "Of course I have to thank Red Bull for me being here. What I will say is that when you think of the coverage and the level of exposure that we are getting in F2, it is second to none."
"My mechanic also did a great job last time out," concluded Wickens. "The car felt good and there were no problems - I hope it bodes well for the rest of the season."
