Penalties for five drivers after Friday qualifying

Following Friday's first qualifying session at Brands Hatch, five drivers have received penalties from the stewards which reshapes the grid ahead of Saturday's first race of the weekend at the Kent circuit.

Sebastian Hohenthal, Tobias Hegewald, Jack Clarke, Mirko Bortolotti and Mikhail Aleshin were all judged to have breached Article 28.3 of the 2009 FIA Formula Two Sporting Regulations - exceeding the track limits at Paddock Hill Bend on repeated occassions, gaining an advantage.

Hohnethal and Clarke have received 5 place penalties. Hegewald, Bortolotti and Aleshin have had their times disqualified and have also been issued with fines for not respecting the Black Flag. They will now start from the back of the grid in this afternoon's race.
